ideology of “New thinking New possibilities”, Korean Company Hyundai
Motor today finally launched its latest invent “2011 Hyundai Verna Fluidic”.
Company is offering Verna with eight engine variants i.e. 1.4L
Petrol/1.4L Diesel, 1.6L Petrol/1.6L Diesel, two SX 1.6L petrol/diesel
version and two high-end variants with optional features. The 1.6L
petrol/diesel engine models are available in two transmission options –
Auto transmission and Manual transmission, whereas 1.4L petrol/diesel
models have only the manual transmission feature.
The New Hyundai Verna Fluidic is the latest entry of Hyundai Motor India Limited in C+ segment of Sedan cars. Known for boasting “Fluidic Sculpture” (name given by Hyundai), the car adorns style, luxury and sporty appearance. This time Hyundai definitely wants to grab the market share so they left no stone unturned in delivering the perfect machine in the Indian market. They opted for other popular cars in this segment like Honda City, Fiat Linea and Volkswagen Vento but Hyundai has changed this with the launch of 2011 model Verna in India. New Hyundai Verna is based on RB concept which has been developed on all-new platform and it has been designed from scratch. It features the signature Hyundai grille and front air-dam which we have seen on other 2011 models of Hyundai. The swept-back head lights looks very cool and give new Verna a dynamic and distinct look. The tail lamps are also new with large stop light and horizontally shaped turn indicator and reverse light. The new Verna continues the 'fluidic scuplture' design philosophy that adds dynamic charater to the vehicle. It looks much better in comparison to the Verna Transform and 2009 model of Verna. The fog lights of new Verna are L-shaped, which are first of its kind in this segment.
Interiors:
The facelifted car also comes with a few changes on the inside. The car now boasts a blue backlighting, which now, most upgraded Hyundai cars come with, as part of standard Hyundai family styling (including the new i20). The other change in the Verna Transform is the new twin-dial instrument cluster with chrome surrounds. Apart from these changes, the Verna Transform remains the same on the inside when compared to the outgoing Verna. The fabric on the Verna Transform has been changed and the Verna Transform offers good legroom for the front row seats. Climb into the rear seats and neither you nor the ones who like to be chauffer-driven will go away disappointed. However, to our dismay, the Verna Transform lacks steering mounted audio controls, which are being offered on well - almost all of its competitors. However, what disappointed us the most was that the car came without airbags! The lack of airbags on a Rs 8 lakh car (petrol, diesel is more expensive) was rather unnerving, especially when the competition offers them.
As per exterior appearance, new Hyundai Verna Fluidic encompasses refreshingly complex big headlamps, Hyundai’s own hexagonal grille, L-shaped foglamps with jawed-chin, thus making it look like a sports car.
This re-incarnated dynamic and distinct model of Hyundai Verna boasts thin waist line which moves along the length of the car giving a streamline cut appearance to the sides. New Hyundai Verna Fluidic comes with stylish side-mirrors with integrated turn lights. However, with the blend of chrome colored door handles and alloy wheels Verna exhibits much sporty looks. For making appearance effective and eye-catchy, the new Hyundai Verna boasts huge wrap around tail-lamps on its big bumper. The reflectors fitted in the bumper acts as two “Red-eyes” at night which were not present in earlier version of Hyundai Verna.
